Ajay Devgan worked in Golmaal & its sequal Golmaal 2. Ajay acted superbly in both movies his co-stars. Comedy becomes popular after the Golmaal released. Now its time for another one. Golmaal 3 is been on the card for release. Ajay is planning to give a fresh look in this movie. Shooting of Golmaal 3 is happening in Goa currenly. Ajay Devgan done few odd things for style with diamond ear studs, tattoos and cropped hair this time. Ajay Devgan's new look had been conceptualized by director Rohit Shetty. Rohit has even styled the other cast members of the movie like Kareena Kapoor's tomboy look, Tusshar Kapoor's tapori look and Arshad Warsi's look which is not disclosed yet for the movie Golmaal 3.

Rohit Shetty said, "I wanted all the characters to have different looks in G3. For Ajay (who plays Gopal again), I wanted a character that looked different from everything he has done. He has been working hard on his body a lot, so we will have him flaunting his body. He plays a hyper character who loses his temper very quickly, because of which everyone is scared of him. People never know what he will laugh about or get angry about."

"Vishwas from my salon designed the tattoo on Ajay's neck but the concept and choice was Ajay’s. The tattoo is of a Celtic or tribal trishul. No actor in India has got a tattoo made on the neck. We have given Ajay the buzz cut, a more macho, masculine and grungy look than he normally sports. We were waiting for all his film shoots to get over before we could give him this look as otherwise it would have continuity problems. He took a keen interest in the whole look and styling." Aalim said.

Powered by the success of two movies featuring the two leading Khans -- Shah Rukh and Aamir -- at the fag end of the year 2008, Bollywood has stepped into the New Year with lots of hopes on an array of big-budget movies to set the box office on fire.

Three Bengali films by internationally acclaimed directors Buddhadeb Dasgupta and Rituparno Ghosh are also slated for release in 2009. While Dasgupta comes up with "Janala", Ghosh will give us "Kalponik" and "Abohoman".

The strong ticket collection of Shah Rukh-starrer "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" and "Ghajini", which sees Aamir in the lead role, in the last two months of the previous year has ushered in strong optimism in the industry which hopes to be back on its feet soon after liquidity crunch hit the Bollywood in the second half of 2008.

The first six months of the New Year will have nearly a dozen big-budget multi-starrer movies lining up Shah Rukh, Aamir, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan.

The year begins with Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone's "Chandni Chowk to China" which is an action comedy about a naive cook from Delhi's Chandni Chowk locality who is mistaken for a reincarnation of an ancient peasant warrior by residents of a village in China.

Akshay Kumar's recent releases are estimated to have earned more than Rs 500 crore at the box office and also plays lead roles in two more movies to be released this year -- "Kambakth Ishq" opposite Kareena Kapoor and "Blue".

One of the most anticipated Bollywood films of 2009 will be Shah Rukh's home production "Billu Barber", a remake of a hit Malayalam movie, and Karan Johar's "My Name is Khan". Both films will star Shah Rukh.

Directed by Priyadarshan, "Billu Barber", which also stars Irrfan Khan and Lara Dutta, will be seen with keen interest by Shah Rukh's fans to find out if the actor's magic works as Tamil film industry super star Rajnikanth's remake of the same film last year failed to click at the box office.

"Billu Barber" is the story of friendship between a top film star played by Shah Rukh, and a common man played by Irrfan, and is set for release in the first quarter of 2009.

Aamir Khan too will be in spotlight with Rajkumar Hirani's "3 Idiots", which is based on writer Chetan Bhagat's bestseller English novel "Five Point Someone", and "Dhobi Ghat". In "Dhobi Ghat" that marks the directorial debut of the actor's wife Kiran Rao, Aamir plays the role of a painter. Hirani's film sees Kareena as the heroine.

Besides, Aamir has his home production "Delhi Belly" featuring his nephew Imran who had made his debut last year with successful "Jaane Tu Ya Jaaney Na".

Salman, who had a bad spell in 2008 at the box office, will try his luck this year in "Main Aur Mrs Khanna" opposited Kareena and in "London Dreams" with Ajay Devgan and newcomer Telugu actress Asin who shot into limelight with her Hindi film debut in Aamir-starrer "Ghajini".

Abshishek, whose performance in "Dostana" last year earned good reviews, features in Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra's "Delhi 6" and Hrithik appears in his home production "Kites" and Zoya Akhtar's directorial debut "Luck by Chance".

Besides the big budget movies, there is this year Ashutosh Gowariker's "What's Your Rashee" in which actress Priyanka Chopra is reportedly playing 12 roles depicting as many star signs.

Buoyed by the success of his debut as an actor in "Rock On" last year, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar is appearing again on the screen in his sister Zoya-directed "Luck By Chance" which is expected to hit the screens on January 30.

The plot of the film is centred on Bollywood and how people from different walks of life go to Mumbai to make it big in an industry where luck often plays a bigger role than hard work. Produced and distributed by Big Pictures, the movie also features Juhi Chawla, Konkona Sen Sharma, Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia.

‘Mehbooba’ comes across with the likes of Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and Manisha Koirala. You might be wondering how come Manisha plays the heroine in 2008 when she has almost vanished from the film circuit. Well, take a closer look at a much slimmer Manisha and the drastically younger looking Sanju Baba and you will definitely figure out that the movie is maybe over 6-8years old.

The film fuses
is various elements of bollywood like numerous dance sequences with enormous sets, Manisha Koirala in the midst of two men , elements of ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ and a battle for love between two brothers that would have worked years ago.

Synopsis…

Shravan (Sanjay Dutt), a casanova, loves being in the company of beautiful and desirable women. His charm and money gets him any beauty he desires till he meets Varsha (
Manisha Koirala).

Varsha is the first girl in Shravan's life who says 'no' to his advances. Shravan is not the type who would take no for an answer. Yet, he realizes his mistake and apologizes to Varsha. To make amends, he asks for Varsha's hand in marriage. Varsha's father convinces her that he is a changed man now and genuinely loves her. After much deliberation, Varsha agrees and they get engaged. Soon, their romantic sojourn ends in lovemaking.

Varsh
a's dream comes to a shocking end when Shravan tells her that his love for her was just a drama so he could sleep with her. Heartbroken and shattered, Varsha feels shattered, her father dies of heart failure. She leaves New York and starts life afresh in Budapest.

Much later, Shravan's younger brother Karan (Ajay Devgan) decides to get married. The girl is Payal, who, in actuality, is Varsha. Is this a plan by Varsha to teach Shravan a lesson? What happens when Karan gets to know what transpired between Varsha and Shravan?

Director Afzal Khan handles the proceedings well but the story by Rumi Jaffrey is outdated. Also the film drawing tremendous resemblance to ‘Hum Dil Chuke Sanam’ offers nothing new from Ajay Devgan. The similar drunk sequences, the same lines of returning the heroine back to her first love etc.

Manisha Koirala who was at the peak of her career when the film was sho
t does well. She emotes and expresses but wonder whether today’s audiences would accept her in a wet red sari dancing across the screen.

Sanjay Dutt or our very own Munnabhai who is the ultimate good guy fo
r all Indians after the Munnabhai series has been portrayed as a Casanova who rapes his wife and then dumps her. Well though the latter half of the film portrays a change of heart, audiences may not approve Sanjay as the Casanova. Also take a look at the lack of continuity is the film as Sanjay goes from long hair, younger looks to the present looking Sanjay Dutt. Afzal Khan can’t be blamed for that as this film was being shot in the midst of all court hassles surrounding Sanjay.

The music by Ismail Darbar is not bad with couple of tracks actually seeping into you. The album would have been a sure hit years ago.

One element that comes across as a treat in the film is Ashok Mehta’s cine
matography. It’s brilliant capturing the various locales of Budapest and Rajasthan.

On the whole, the film is definitely not headed for success at the multiplex’s but caters more to the single screen audiences who still enjoy watching films with over 6 tracks and all that family drama . The film is definitely good for it’s time but falls flat in the present.

Subhash K Jha, IANS

Filmmaker Vipul Shah, who's cast Akshay Kumar in most of his films, is now set to work with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan in London Dreams.

But he wants a "trial shoot" to just get comfortable with the two actors.

"Just a couple of shooting days with Salman and Ajay so I can establish a comfort zone with them for whenever we begin our principal shooting. I wouldn't want to go on the sets for a major schedule and then get to know my principal actors," Shah explained.

And he is also to cast a completely new face opposite the seasoned stars. "We've zeroed in on two girls - both of whom are almost completely new. We'll decide on one of them. I'd have finalised the girl last week, but I got stuck in the controversies regarding the Sikh community (over the film Singh is Kinng)."

Singh is Kinng once again has Akshay Kumar in the lead. The actor has previously worked in Shah's Aankhen, Waqt and Namaste London.

While Shah is producing the film, the director is Anees Bazmi. "Generally when two directors come together as producer-director like Subhash Ghai and Mukul Anand did for Trimurti or Aditya Chopra and Pradeep Sarkar in Laaga Chunri Mein Daag, the film doesn't work. I want to prove that wrong in Singh Is Kinng. I can proudly say I wasn't a selfish producer. I let Anees Bazmi do what he wanted. I stayed in the background completely."

Bollywood couple Ajay Devgan and Kajol are all set to make a cameo in a song in Anil Devgan's next film Haal-E-Dil.

"Myself and Kajol are shooting for Anil's upcoming film. It is just a guest appearance or cameo in a song, which we call a train song. It is quite nice and very fresh," Ajay wrote in his last blog entry.

Anil, who is Ajay's brother, has also directed the latter in Raju Chacha and Blackmail.

"Anil has worked really hard and the look of the film has also shaped up really nice. Hope Anil gets appreciated with Haal-E-Dil," Ajay said.

The song in the film, starring newcomers Amita Pathak, Adhyayan Suman and Nakuul Mehta, is titled Oye Hoye.
